Russell Johnson & New Vintage, a mainstay of the 90's national bluegrass scene is booking select dates again with longtime singer songwriter Russell Johnson joining forces with the songwriting duo of Alice Zincone and Rick Lafleur. This core group rounds out the band from a roster of great musicans including Corey Rackley, Stephen Fraleigh and Rick Keen depending on scheduling.

Originally formed in 1989, New Vintage rose to national prominence in the 1990's. During that decade the band released five critically acclaimed projects, three for Pinecastle Records that were top 10 CD's on the Bluegrass Unlimited National Bluegrass Survey.

New Vintage is a sound that melds the finest qualities of traditional and contemporary bluegrass in a style that moves forward within the genre, progressing without ever losing sight of bluegrass roots.  New Vintage is the songs, voice, and soul of mandolinist Russell Johnson, the silky smooth vocals of Alice Zincone and the dynamic banjo of Rick Lafleur.
